Abstract
Hemiballism is a rare movement disorder with large amplitude, random movements of the proximal extremities on one side of the body. It is commonly related to strokes; however secondary causes exist. This case reviews a patient with focal neurologic symptoms and CT/MRI concerning for hemorrhagic stroke with newly detected type 2 diabetes mellitus ultimately diagnoses with nonketotic hyperglycemic hemiballismus.
